New law: Service animal can only be dog or mini-horse

The Daily Mammal
Jennifer Rae Atkins, in her blog, the Daily Mammal, is attempting to draw [close to] every mammal on earth. Therefore: a mammal a day. Since there are about 5,000 named mammal species, give or take, it should take her about 14 years to meet this goal. That's not so bad!

Marjorie Bowley returned home to find a fox curled up and sleeping in her bed."I tried to shoo it off but it wouldn't budge. It was so bold. It just looked at me and moved up to the pillows."
The fox had entered through a cat flap at the rear of the house.

Arctic Foxes save for lean times
Arctic foxes create "nest eggs" each year to prepare for leaner times, according to a new study.
Like squirrels gathering nuts for the winter, the small foxes hoard bird eggs in case there's not enough of their favorite prey—the collard lemming—to go around in the spring.
The stored eggs can last for up to a year after being buried, thanks to the Arctic permafrost and natural preservatives inside the eggs.

Video: Man's new best friend
Cropper is the perfect pet -- friendly, loyal, and he likes a cuddle. But Cropper is no typical Man's Best Friend: he is a fox.In Britain foxes are commonly regarded as pests, rummaging through rubbish and killing farmyard animals. But not this particular fox, Cropper the fox behaves more like a dog.
He allows himself to be stroked, carried and taken for walks.
Orphaned fox cub adopted by dog
A fox cub taken in by a rescue centre after being found beneath the body of his dead mother has got a new surrogate parent - a three-year-old mongrel dog.Twelve-week-old Tod - named after the cub who befriends a puppy in the Disney film The Fox and the Hound - was adopted by the British Wildlife Centre.
Samantha Johnson, a worker at the centre, in Newchapel, Surrey, then took him to her home in nearby Lingfield.
She said her dog Molly "just took to Tod and is now his surrogate mother".
"He follows her everywhere," Ms Johnson added.
